A little bit about us….
Hello. We are Pip and Kerry, the co-founders of Stickibox. We met through our children and have become great friends. Having spent the last few years as stay at home mums and with the imminent start of our youngest children at school, we wanted a new challenge in our lives.
During many get togethers with our 4 children and over many cups of coffee we started to think of business ideas that would fit in with family life. Although we had many crazy ideas, it was at a play date that we struck upon an idea that would become our light bulb moment.
During this play date our children decided to convert an old cardboard box into a racing car. We loved the way they worked together to create their own vision of a car and were also having lots of fun at the same time. After many requests from our children to help them make parts for their car we came up with the idea to create cardboard craft kits that give children the freedom to customise their own cardboard boxes. This was the inspiration behind Stickibox.

In June 2011 Jacqueline Gold launched a campaign to support women in business, an area she is incredibly passionate about. Women On Wednesday, or #WOW, takes place every Wednesday and is run through Jacqueline’s twitter page. Each week Jacqueline encourages female business owners to tweet her using the #WOW hash tag along with their business name and a short overview of what they do.
When selecting the three winners, Jacqueline looks for businesses that are interesting, that have strong brand values and that she thinks have potential to grow and succeed in their industry. She looks for quality products, well designed websites and entrepreneurs who appear to have a good business sense and who have thought about what the consumer wants and how to deliver it.
Jade from The Parenting Jungle wrote a lovely review of our Stickibox Car kit. Her review starts with the line 'This post is about a box, and a boy, and all the good things that came from it…' You can read her review by clicking here.
